Finding out that I was pregnant, was one of the biggest joys of my life. And, If you're like me, from the moment I found out we were expecting all I wanted to do was research and read up on the best products to use. I wanted to make sure I was doing everything right to protect this beautiful baby growing inside of me. I've tried several products and have fallen in love with them and wanted to share them with you...Enjoy!
Fall in love with taking care of yourself - Kristin Sollenne
I've tried many hair products over the years, but I was on a mission to find an organic, paraben-free and sulfate-free line that didn't leave my hair dull and flat. I use the abundant volume collection and love it! Organic Bamboo extracts and macs root act like a morning cup of coffee for your locks, waking them up with energizing volume!
I'm religious with my manicures. I just like to always have my nails done and looking fresh. Before getting pregnant I would do a Shellac manicure, but now I try to stay out of nail salons and handle my nail care at home. Non-acetone nail polish remover is fine to use, but you'll notice the fumes are still pretty pungent. I use Priti NYC, a soy nail polish remover in a lemongrass scent. It will take a little longer to work your nail polish off, but it's completely worth it. You won't have that awful smell either that lingers on your hands and nails.
Ella + Mila is a great 5 chemical free nail polish line to use and they have a beautiful assortment of colors in all shades. Their newest collection is 7 chemical free! They're a wonderful brand doing good for the environment and for you!
I was searching for the best prenatal vitamin that didn't make me feel sick or nauseous after taking it. New Chapter is plant based, which means you can take it on an empty stomach and still feel fine! They recommend to take one in the morning, afternoon and at night. I highly recommend this vitamin. I've noticed a big change in my nails getting stronger and hair thicker...that could also be the lovely pregnancy hormones, but I think the vitamin has something to do with it also. I also pair the New Chapter Whole Mega DHA with this vitamin and take four capsules in the morning.
I love the Noodle & Boo collection. I have been using the Elasticity Oil and perfecting Creme for the past six months and I'm happy to report no stretch marks! The products feel and smell great. Their products are made of the finest ingredients and you can definitely feel the superb quality. They are pricier than typical cocoa butter lotion you would find in the grocery store, but well worth it! Your skin will thank you!
These are a few of my top beauty picks that I've found essential in my quest for all natural, organic products. Enjoy!
